Bad Bad Habit
Ansel thought I should not put an image of this one on the blog because perhaps it might encourage other children to do bad things like sit on one another's heads.
We definitely discourage that sort of thing around here.
Muscle Suit
I've been thinking about all those "exosuits" the giant robot things in Pacific Rim, the Zords in Power Rangers, the Sigorney Weaver's loader in Aliens. I think "Mechs" is the preferred nerd term.
A big powerful body that has a space for a small person to run it from the inside.
Archer told me this one should not have a "thingie" meaning the crotch bulge was bothering him. I thought as long as I was making a silly fantasy muscle suit, why should it not have a crotch bulge? Unless it was a girl muscle suit...

Parasite
We've had some. We will have some more soon, no doubt.
I prefer the ones that stay on the outside of my body.
But that rules out reproduction. And pin worms.

You Can't Say You Weren't Warned
I listened to a podcast last night about pregnancy.... (Just as a disclaimer, I listen to a lot of podcasts mostly on more pleasant topics like science fiction, economics or astrophysics)
This reminded me how little I liked the physical state of being pregnant, particularly the public, performative aspects of it. The constant vomiting wasn't very nice either, but still preferable to having strangers address me as "Mommy" and pat my belly.
But it's funny how after 10 years of parental indignities, I can barely remember how indignant I was about that sort of thing.
